Toward the end of the Battle at the Tower, Dalinar equates the hummed or whispered haunting songs of the living Parshendi to their dying with the Soul's March. He felt their songs rose like the curses of spirits on the March. He had always found the death song to be the most beautiful of all he had heard from the Parshendi.[1]
